WARNING LIFTING WEIGHT HAZARD.
The Sprayer weight may exceed the physical capability of the
operator. Assessment of the lifting limitations of the operator
prior to use should be considered to avoid back injury or other
serious injury caused by heavy lifting. The machine can weigh
above 31kg when full, depending on the chemical used.
• DO NOT use the machine if the operator has had previous
back injury or physical impairments.
• When start using your backpack sprayer for the first time,
check the weight of the unit with the sprayer tank empty to
ensure lifting comfort and capability. Start with the amount
of liquid that you can carry on your back and may not need
to be the full capacity of the sprayer tank. You can increase
the amount of liquid progressively depending on the operator
experience and capability.
• Rest operator regularly & remove the sprayer from back
when idle.
• The operator should only increase the tank filling capacity
level, after comfortable using the machine according to the
application terrain and environment.
• DO NOT fill or increase the tank capacity whilst the operator
is wearing the machine. Only Fill the tank whilst on surface
level ground.
• Never lifting the unit alone and always use safe lifting
practices. It is recommended when putting the backpack
sprayer on your back or putting down to remove, place the
unit on a higher level surface just about the waist high. eg,
using a Stool or Stand Support, Workbench, or from the back
of a vehicle utitily tray.
• DO NOT lift the machine directly onto the operators back
from the ground.
• DO NOT put the machine on the operators back whilst the
operator is in a sitting position.

Operating Safety
• Read, understand, and follow instructions and warnings in this
manual and on the machine, engine and attachment labels,
before use.
• This product has been designed and is intended for agricultural
and pest control applications. For agricultural or pest control
chemicals/additives such as pesticides, herbicides and
insecticides, please follow chemical manufacturers instructions
for recommended usage procedures and safety precautions.
DO NOT use the sprayer for purposes other than is intended.
• Always check if there is any restriction on use of plant
protection products with your local/national regulatory
authorities.
• Know the controls and the proper use of the machine before
lifting, wearing or starting.
• If unsure of the correct backpack sprayer operation, DO NOT
operate, seek training on safe operation of the backpack
sprayer by a trained professional or an accredited training
provider.
• The equipment should only be used in good weather conditions
and with clear visibility.
• Ensure you are in a good physical condition when using this
product. DO NOT operate the product when fatiqued, ill or
under influence of alcohol, drugs or medication.
• Keep firm footing and balance at all times, especially when
working in rice paddy fields when the soil is mostly wet,
slippery, uneven surface and cover with a thick mud (your feet
might get stuck in the mud).
• Protect yourself when operating unit by wearing safety glasses,
protective clothing, safety gloves, ear protection, respiratory
protection and sturdy footwear - safety boots.
• Always inspect if the rubber mounts are in good conditions. If
the rubber mounts are cracked or otherwise damaged, DO NOT
operate the product until the components have been replaced.
• DO NOT spray flammable, combustible, or corrosive liquids.
• DO NOT spray hot liquids.
• DO NOT use to spray paints, solvents or adhesives.
• DO NOT use near crop burning or for incinerating purposes.
• DO NOT use as a fire fighting aparatus.
• DO NOT use with caustic or other cleaning applications
• DO NOT use for medical applications such as the control of
livestock or animal disease.
NOTICE High pressure spray could damage fragile items
including glass.
• DO NOT point spray gun at glass or other fragile items.
NOTICE Improper treatment of backpack sprayer could damage
it and shorten its life.
• If you have questions about intended use, ask dealer or
contact authorised service centre.
• DO NOT operate units with broken or missing parts, or
without protective housing or covers.
• DO NOT by-pass any safety device on this machine.
• DO NOT modify backpack sprayer in any way other than as
specified in this Operator's Manual.
• Before starting backpack sprayer in cold weather, check all
parts of the equipment to be sure ice has not formed there.
• DO NOT move backpack sprayer by dragging along the
ground or by pulling on the hoses or wands. Move the unit
only by lifting the unit by either the lifting grip on both sides
of the sprayer tank or by the straps.
• This equipment is designed to be used with Briggs &
Stratton authorised parts ONLY. If equipment is used with
parts that DO NOT comply with minimum specifications,
user assumes all risks and liabilities.
