1.1. Power Supply

Make sure the main voltage is compatible with the appliance’s. If this is

not the case, please consult the Customer Support Service.

1.2. Power Cord and Other Cables

Do not tangle the cord or pull it to disconnect the appliance. Also, keep

the cord away from warm surfaces.

Never use the appliance if it has a damaged cable or socket.

Take it to the Customer Support Service for replacement.

1.3. Humidity and Water

Do not use your appliance in humid places. Do not allow the appliance

to become wet under any circumstances as this may be dangerous.

To avoid fire hazard or electric shock do not expose your appliance

to humidity or water. Furthermore, do not place your appliance under

water (e.g. for cleaning).

1.4. Cleaning

Before cleaning, be sure to switch o the appliance and remove the plug from

the main power supply. Always allow the unit to cool down before cleaning.

• Please follow the instructions in the user manual which will help you

to properly install and operate this product and enjoy its advanced

features. Please keep the instructions for future reference.

• Read all instructions before using the product.

• Maintenance and service operations are only to be carried out by

authorized professionals.

• Any damage caused by manual modifications to the product is not

covered by the warranty.

• If this product is used for other purposes than the ones originally

intended, or if it is not correctly connected, the product may become

damaged and the warranty will be voided.

WARNING! HYDROGEN GAS IS EXPLOSIVE

Under certain conditions, hydrogen gas may be produced in a

hot water system that has not been used for two weeks or more.

HYDROGEN GAS IS EXPLOSIVE. If the hot water system has not been

used for such a period, before using the dishwasher turn on all hot

water faucets and let the water flow from each for several minutes. This

will release some accumulated hydrogen gas. As the gas is flammable,

do not smoke or use a naked flame when you do this.

WARNING! PROPER USE

• Do not tamper, sit on, or stand on the dishwasher’s door or dish

basket.

• Do not touch the heating element during or immediately after using.

• Do not operate your dishwasher unless all enclosure panels are

properly in place. Open the door very carefully if the dishwasher is

operating, as there is a risk of water splashing out.

• Do not place any heavy objects or stand on the door when it is open

because the appliance could tip over.

• When loading items to be washed:

• Locate sharp items so that they are not likely to damage the

door seal;

• Load sharp knives with the handles up to reduce the risk of

cut type injuries;

• Warning: Knives and other utensils with sharp points must

be loaded in the basket with their points down or placed in a

horizontal position.

• When using your dishwasher, you should prevent plastic items from

contacting with the heating element.

• Check if the detergent compartment is empty once the wash cycle

ends.

• Do not wash plastic items unless they are marked as ‘dishwasher

safe’ or the equivalent. For plastic items not so marked, please check

the manufacturer's recommendations.

• Use only detergent and rinse additives designed for an automatic

dishwasher. Never use soap, laundry detergent, or hand washing

detergent in your dishwasher.

• Other means for disconnecting from the mains must be

incorporated in the fixed wiring with at least a 3 mm contact

separation in all poles.

• Keep children away from detergent and rinse aid, as well as from the

open door of the dishwasher as there could still be some detergent

left inside.

• These instructions shall also be obtained from the manufacturer or

responsible vendor.

• To protect against the risk of electrical shock, do not immerse the

unit, cord or plug in water or other liquid.

• Dishwasher detergents are strongly alkaline. Therefore, they can be

extremely dangerous if swallowed. Avoid contact with skin and eyes

and keep children away from the dishwasher when the door is open.

• The door should not be left open since this could present a tripping

hazard. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by

the manufacturer or the Customer Support Service or a similarly

qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.

• Please dispose of packing materials properly.

• During installation, the power supply cord must not be excessively

or dangerously bent or flattened.

• Do not tamper with controls.

• The appliance is to be connected to the water mains using new

hose sets, whereas the old hose sets should not be reused. Please

make sure that the carpet will not obstruct the openings at the

bottom base.

• Use the dishwasher only for its intended function.

• This dishwasher is intended for indoor use only.

• The dishwasher is not designed for commercial use. It is intended

for use in domestic households and in similar working and

residential environments.

12 standard dishes. Do not use any dishes that are not suitable for

dishwashers. This is important for good results and for reasonable

energy consumption.

centre. Cut o the power supply cable and make the door closing

device unusable.

Cardboard packaging is manufactured from recycled paper and should

1. Programme indicator light: when you select a washing programme,

the corresponding light will light up.

2. Programme select button: Press the button to select the

programme. The "Eco wash" indicator will flash if it is connected to

the mains. Push the button to switch the programme from "Eco"

--"Light"-- "Crystal" -- "Rapid" -- "Pre-rinse" --"Intensive" and select the

one you want.

3. Salt and rinse aid indicator lights: These will light up when the

softener or dispenser needs to be refilled.

4. Display: Displays the delay time or error codes or the estimated time

left for programme to run.

5. Delay time: This option will allow you to delay the start time of any

wash cycle for up to 24 hours (depending on the model). Select

the delay start time you want by pressing the DELAY pad. Multiple

pressing will increase the delay hours.

6. ON/OFF Button: To turn the power supply on/o.

7. Check water supply indicator: The indicator lights up if the tap

turns o or the water supply is interrupted or if the supply hose is

kinked.

8. Child lock: The ‘child lock’ will be available when you press the

button for 3 seconds, and the indicator lights up after flashing 6

times.

9. 60 min programme: Daily wash in only 1 hour.

10. 3 in 1 function: The product has additional functions that could be

used with programmes such as “intensive”, “Eco” and “Light”.

11. After selecting the desired programme, close the door, and the

dishwasher will start operating.

2.2. Product usage

Before Using the Dishwasher for the First Time

Before using your dishwasher for the first time:

• Set the water softener

• Pour 500 mL of water inside the salt container and then fill it with

dishwasher salt

• Fill the rinse aid dispenser

• Insert detergent

Set the water softener

The water softener is designed to remove minerals and salts from

the water, which would have a detrimental or adverse eect on the

appliance’s operation. The higher the content of these minerals

and salts, the harder the water is. The softener should be adjusted

according to water hardness in your area. Contact your local Water

Authority for advice on the water hardness in your area.

Setting: The amount of salt dispensed can be set from H0 to H7.

Salt is not required at the set value H0.

1. Find out about the hardness value of your tap water. Ask your water

utility company to help you with this.

2. Set value can be found in the water hardness table.

3. Close the door.

4. Switch the “Power” switch on.

5. Hold the “Delay” button down and then press the “Programme”

button for 5 seconds. The buzzer rings once and H appears flashing

on the digital display. (Factory settings is H4.)

To change the settings:

1. Press the “Delay” button. Each time this button is pressed, the set

value increases by one level; when the value of H7 has been reached,

the display jumps back to H0 (o).

2. Press the “Programme” button. The chosen settings has now been

stored.

Contact your local water authority for information on the hardness of

water supplied.

Loading Salt into the Softener dispenser

Always use salt intended to be used with dishwashers.

NOTE: If your model has no water softener, you may skip this section.

WATER SOFTENER

Water hardness varies from place to place. If hard water is used in

the dishwasher, deposits will form on the dishes and utensils. This

appliance is equipped with a special softener that uses salts specifically

designed to eliminate lime and minerals from the water.

The salt container is located beneath the lower basket and should be

filled as follows:

Attention!

Only use salt specifically designed to be used in dishwashers!

All other types of salt not specifically designed to be used in a

dishwasher, especially table salt, will damage the water softener.

The manufacturer does not give any warranty nor is liable for any

damages caused by the use of unsuitable salt.

Only fill with salt just before starting one of the complete washing

programmes.

This will prevent any grains of salt or salty water, which may have been

split, from remaining on the bottom of the machine for any period of

time, which may cause corrosion.

After the first wash cycle the control panel light goes o.

A. Remove the lower basket, unscrew and remove the cap from the salt

container. See fig. 1

B. If you are filling the container for the first time, fill 2/3 of its volume

with water (around 500 mL). See fig 2

C. Place the end of the funnel (supplied) into the hole and add about

2 Kg of salt. It is normal for a small amount of water to come out of

the salt container.

D. Carefully screw the cap back on.

E. Usually, the salt warning light will be o in 2-6 days after the salt

container is filled with salt.

NOTE:

1. The salt container must be refilled when the salt warning light in the

control panel goes on. Though the salt container is filled enough, the

indicator light may not go o before the salt is fully dissolved. If there

is no salt warning light in the control panel (for some models), you

can judge when to load the salt into the softener by the cycles that

the dishwasher had run.

2. If there are spills of salt, a soak programme could be run to wipe

them out.

Filling the Rinse Aid Dispenser

Rinse aid is automatically added during the last rinse, ensuring

thorough rinsing, spot and streak-free drying.

Attention!

Only use branded rinse aid for dishwashers. Never fill the rinse aid

dispenser with any other substances (e.g. dishwasher cleaning agent,

liquid detergent), as this would damage the appliance.

When to Refill the Rinse Aid Dispenser

If there is no rinse aid warning light on the control panel, you can judge

the amount of rinse aid by the colour of the optical level indicator

“D” located next to the cap. When the rinse aid container is full, the

whole indicator will be turned o. As the rinse aid diminishes, the light

indicator will progressively light up. It is recommended that the rinse

aid never reaches below 1/4 full.

As the rinse aid decreases, the size of the light on the rinse aid level

indicator changes, as illustrated below.

arrow (left) and lift it out.

2 Pour the rinse aid into the dispenser but be careful not to overfill.

3 Replace the cap by inserting it aligned with the “open” arrow and turn

it in the direction of the “closed” arrow (right).

This dishwasher is designed to use liquid rinse aids, and the rinse aid

dispenser is located inside the door next to the detergent dispenser.

The rinse aid is released during the final rinse to prevent water from

forming droplets, which can leave spots and streaks on your dishes. It

also improves drying by allowing water to sheet o the dishes.

To fill the dispenser, open the cap and pour the rinse aid into the

dispenser until the level indicator goes completely o. Please be

aware that the volume of the rinse aid container is about 140 mL,

so please be careful not to overfill the dispenser as this could cause

over spilling. Wipe away any spills with a damp cloth. Do not forget to

reinsert the cap before you close the dishwasher’s door.

Attention!

Clean up any rinse aid spilled during filling with an absorbent cloth to

avoid excess foaming during the next wash.

Adjusting Rinse Aid Dispenser

Adjust lever

(Rinse)

The rinse aid dispenser has four or six settings,

but it is recommended to always start with the

dispenser set on “4”. If spots and poor drying

are a problem, increase the amount of rinse aid

dispensed by removing the dispenser lid and

rotating the dial to “5”. If the dishes still do not dry

properly or have spots, adjust the dial to the next

higher number until they are spot-free. The dose

is factory set in the position 5.

NOTE: Increase the dose if there are drops of water or lime spots on

the dishes after washing. Reduce it if there are sticky whitish streaks on

the dishes or a bluish film on glassware or knife blades.

Detergent

Detergents with its chemical ingredients are necessary to remove

dirt, crush dirt and transport it out of the dishwasher. Therefore, most

commercial quality detergents are suitable for this purpose.

Concentrated Detergent

Based on their chemical composition, a dishwasher can be split in two

basic types:

• conventional, alkaline detergents with caustic components

• low alkaline concentrated detergents with natural enzymes

Using the “Eco” washing programme in conjunction with concentrated

detergents reduces pollution and is good for your dishes; these

washing programmes are especially suitable for the concentrated

detergent’s enzymes with their dirt-dissolving properties. For this

reason, the “Eco” washing programme - in which concentrated

detergents are used - can achieve the same results that can otherwise

only be achieved by using the “intensive” programme.

Detergent Tablets

Detergent tablets of dierent brands dissolve at dierent speeds.

For this reason, some detergent tablets cannot dissolve and develop

their full cleaning power during short programmes. Therefore, please

use long programmes when using detergent tablets, to ensure the

complete removal of detergent residues.

Detergent Dispenser

The dispenser must be refilled before starting any washing cycle

following the instructions provided in the Wash Cycle Table.

NOTE: This dishwasher uses less detergent and rinse aid than

conventional dishwashers.

Generally, only one tablespoon of detergent is needed for a normal wash

load. On the other hand, more heavily soiled items need more detergent.

Always add the detergent just before starting your dishwasher, otherwise

it could get damped and will not dissolve properly.

Amount of Detergent to Use

NOTE:

1 If the lid is closed: press the release button and the lid springs open.

2 Always add the detergent just before starting any wash cycle.

Also, only use branded detergent aid for dishwashers.

WARNING!

Dishwasher detergent is corrosive! Please keep it out of the reach of

children.

Use only detergent specifically made for use in dishwashers and keep

your detergent fresh and dry.

Do not add powder detergent into the dispenser until you are ready to

wash dishes.

Filling the detergent dispenser

Fill the detergent dispenser with detergent.

The marking indicates the dosing levels,

as illustrated on the right:

1 Main wash cycle detergent

compartments; MIN means

approximately 20 g of detergent.

2 Pre-wash cycle detergent compartment,

allowing approximately 5 g of detergent.

Please observe the manufacturer's dosing and storage

recommendations as stated on the detergent packaging.

Close the lid and press until it locks into place. If the dishes are heavily

soiled, place an additional detergent dose in the pre-wash detergent

compartment, as this detergent will take eect during the pre-wash

phase.

NOTE:

You will find information about the amount of detergent for a single

programme on the last page.

Please be aware that according to the soiling level and the specific

water hardness, there might be dierences.

Please observe the manufacturer's recommendations on the

detergent’s packaging.

Detergents

There are 3 types of detergents:

1. With phosphate and chlorine

2. With phosphate and without chlorine

3. Without phosphate and chloride

Normally new pulverised detergents no not contain phosphate,

meaning that the phosphate’s function as to water softener is not

provided. In this case we recommend adding salt in the salt container

even when the water hardness is only 6 dH. If detergents without

phosphate are used in case of hard water white spots will often appear

on dishes and glasses. In this case please add more detergent to obtain

better results. Detergents without chlorine only bleach a little, meaning

that strong and coloured spots will not be removed completely. In this

case please choose a programme with a higher temperature.

Using “3 in 1” Detergent Tablets

General Advice

1. Before using these products, you should first check if the water

hardness in your water supply is compatible with the one specified

on these products as per the detergent manufacturer’s instructions

(on the product packaging).

2. These products should be strictly used according to the detergent

manufacturer’s instructions.

3. If you encounter problems when using “3 in 1” products for the first

time, then please contact the detergent manufacturer’s Customer

Support Service (the telephone number is given on the product

packaging). These products are detergents with integrated and

combined detergent/rinse aid and salt functions

Special advice

When using combined products, the rinse aid indicator are no longer

useful. It may be helpful to select the lowest possible setting for water

hardness.

To select the “3 in 1” function:

1. Press the power switch and select the 3 in 1 washing cycle by

pressing the function alternative button until the “3 in 1” indicator

blinks.

2. The 3 in 1 washing cycle will be available after pressing the start/

pause button, and the “3 in 1” indicator lights up.

To cancel the “3 in 1” function:

Please follow the “Cancelling a programme in progress” instructions. If

you decide to use a standard detergent system, we advise that you:
